Amber Shepard is a former Judicial Law Clerk at the Arizona Court of Appeals.

Amber Shepard combines a strong academic background with a passion for advocacy. After graduating summa cum laude from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, she earned her law degree and a certificate in Criminal Law and Policy from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. Her legal scholarship has been published in the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics, and Public Policy.


She served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Chief Judge Christopher Staring of the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division Two, and as an intern for the Honorable Judge James A. Soto of the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. She also interned for the Federal Public Defender's Office for the District of Arizona.



Before becoming an attorney, Amber worked as an independent journalist for the White Mountain Independent in Show Low, Arizona, and as a tutor for Northland Pioneer Community College. She has also worked as an innovation panelist for New York City-based ProdigyWorks on numerous brainstorming projects since 2010, providing ideas for new product lines and licensing opportunities for a range of well-known brands and Fortune 500 companies.


When not at work, Amber enjoys spending time with her family and pets.
